ARTSPACE GALLERY HOSTS “END OF THE DECADE NEW YEARS’ EVE DANCE PARTY!”

This year the place to ring in the New Year will be at Artspace Gallery’s “End Of The Decade New Years’ Eve Dance Party.”

Rattan DJ will kick things off, spinning tasty latin grooves for your listening and dancing pleasure. The live music will begin with Fuzzy Baby, Richmond’s “2 member, 1 man band.” Comprised of Giustino Riccio (of Bio Ritmo) and Molly Berg, they mix their voices with a truckload of instruments to create vaguely gypsy inflected folk/pop songs that are by turns lovely, whimsical, poignant, funny and utterly captivating. Next up, Rattlemouth will present their scintillating world grooves with a power set of classic tunes from Ethiopia, Mali, Zimbabwe, Cuba and more. This event also serves as the release party for their newest cd, Home Fed And Full Grown, with free copies for each paying attendee. Topping the bill will be the powerhouse No BS Brass Band, Richmond’s premiere band to see for an evening of heart-pounding energy and uncontrollable dancing.

A cash bar and snacks will be available. Doors open at 8pm and the cover is $20 at the door. Free parking is available in the fenced and well lit Plant Zero parking lot directly across from the 4th street entrance.
