In addition to the stream of emotion and sadness that a family deals with when a loved one is terminally ill, there is a mountain of logistics and paperwork that can seem insurmountable and overwhelming when you are faced with an impending death in the family. No one wants to go through reams of documents and forms before, during and after the death of a loved one.
Come to this class and Social workers from Serenity Hospice will assist you in filling out advanced directives, and discuss paperwork and end of life decisions that everyone should complete of all ages. It may seem to be an uncomfortable process, but it can bring relief to you and your family knowing you have everything in place. Just like birth, death is inevitable for all us. In the American culture we may not want to face death or the paperwork issues around death. Unfortunately, some people pass away leaving their families to handle everything. So come join us and bring a friend!
We will have free food and lots of discussion about end of life decisions. We will provide some forms at no charge such as advanced directives, the Five Wishes, and the DMV registration forms for the advanced directives.
This will be from 4pm to 5:00 pm, Tuesday, July 31st.
