Encounters from the Past Cemetery Tours, unique guided walks through Farmers Branch’s first burial ground, the Farmers Branch Keenan Cemetery, will explore the lives and contributions of many of the community’s early citizens. Hear the story of the lonely World War II wife, meet the energetic Harvey Gulley or learn about the establishment of Farmers Branch’s first fire brigade. With the help of local, costumed actors these entertaining, educational, and reflective twilight tours of the cemetery are designed to honor those who built Farmers Branch with their blood, sweat and tears. Tours will begin at 6:30 PM each evening and last about an hour with tours visiting 6-8 characters. Tickets will go on sale on March 1, 2012 at the Farmers Branch Historical Park office and will be available at the cemetery on tour nights. The cemetery is located at 2570 Valley View Lane in Farmers Branch.
