ENCOUNTERING THE SPIRITS: THE SHAMAN’S PATH OF DIRECT REVELATION

Black Elk's prophesy revealed that we would return to and re-embrace a spiritual practice in which each person has the capacity as well as the responsibility to become their own priest or priestess, their own guru or teacher, their own prophet, receiving revelations directly from the highest sources themselves, without the need for any intermediary religious organization or priesthood to stand between them and their experience of “The Sacred.” We will explore that path, experiencing empowerment, and we will conclude the weekend with a powerful healing ritual.
Anthropologist Hank Wesselman PhD. is the author of 8 books on shamanism including the Spiritwalker Trilogy, Awakening to the Spirit World (with Sandra Ingerman), and his forthcoming book The Bowl of Light: Ancestral Wisdom from a Hawaiian Shaman (from Sounds True, May 2011).
