On the 120th anniversary of the day that Carnegie Hall first opened its doors in 1891, acclaimed Canadian pianist Emanuel Ax will join the likes of renowned violinist Yo-Yo Ma, New York Philharmonic’s Alan Gilbert, and Conductor Gil Shaham to celebrate the venue. The one-night-only all-star gala concert event will commemorate the special anniversary with a program that includes Beethoven’s Triple Concerto in C Major, Op. 56 and Dvorak’s Carnival Overture, Op. 92, as well as classic Duke Ellington songs performed by the dazzling Audra McDonald.
