Emerging Asian Women Leadership Initiative January 5, 2010

AWIB will be hosting a unique leadership workshop, Leading with Confidence: Finding Your Inner Strength, open to all Asian female undergraduate students.

As part of the AWIB Emerging Asian Women Leadership Initiative, an effort to encourage and support leadership among the young female leaders of tomorrow, this workshop is designed to teach and support the skills needed to be a leader at school, at work and in our communities.

Areas such as interpersonal communication, public speaking, goal setting, and team building will be addressed. Participants will engage in group exercises and role playing as part of learning the concepts of leadership.

Students are invited to attend a reception and ceremony following, the workshop to award the 2009 AWIB Scholarship to six Asian women undergraduates for their outstanding leadership roles within their communities.

Students will get the opportunity to network with AWIB members, supporters and corporate sponsors & recruiters!
