Embodied Spirits Revisited: Ritual Carvings of the Asmat and Recent Acquisitions February 26, 2007

This exhibit provides an introduction to the culture and ideology of the Asmat people living in an isolated rainforest on the southwest coast of Papua, Indonesia. The objects on display were acquired in the 1960s and early 1970s, and are part of the museum's permanent collection.
