EMBER SWIFT, a Toronto-based singer-songwriter and trio, performs with the sounds of guitar, violin, bass, bowed guitar, drums and percussion. Best described as style-merging, the music crosses many style boundaries and merges sounds from jazz to funk to punk to classical with a definite folk platform. The music has also been deemed "advocacy" or "activist" music due to the lyric's undeniable call for social change.
