Opening Day at local farmers market
Elwood, Indiana - Join the fun and festivities at opening day at the Elwood's Farmers Market, Saturday, June 13th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.. Located in uptown Elwood at the corner of South B Street and Anderson Street (St. Rd. 13) at the city fountain. Local gardeners and farmers will have a variety of fresh fruit, vegetables, fresh eggs, hormone free beef, cheese, local honey, made from scratch fresh pies, garden art items, potted plants and craft items. Opening day will host the area's antique/restored car enthusiasts group, Vintage Rollers. They will be displaying an array of beautiful cars at the market.
This year's farmers market have a variety of scheduled activities planned throughout the season. Events include June 20, pet parade and contest, Vendor decoration contest on July 4, health awareness on July 11, Kid's day July 18, and Police/Fire Awareness on July 25.
