The Elkland Art Center will be hosting children’s workshops 2 Saturdays of every month at the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts beginning in April through October with a different theme each session. Located in rural Appalachia, Elkland Art Center builds community while making art to use as a means to imagine and make the world a better place. Through education about our natural environment and what people can do to protect it, Elkland builds on history with innovation, education and surprise.

Using found materials from the river to create art, this session will focus on the importance of keeping our rivers clean and how to use trash to make a more beautiful world.

All workshops will be held in the Arnold P. Rosen Education Wing, Room 3200 at the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts. Ages 6 and up.
