Closer is the definitive book by Elinor Carucci, an artist known for relentlessly intimate photographs that capture the private worlds of her family and household. Since this classic monograph was first published in 2002, Carucci has evolved from an emerging artist into a widely collected photographer with an international reputation. Featuring a new foreword by Susan Kismaric and once again available in hardcover, this revised edition of Closer offers an opportunity for art lovers everywhere to get the only significant publication to survey this important artist's oeuvre.
Elinor Carucci has won numerous awards. Her work is in the collections of many major museums, including MoMA. She resides in New York City.
