The Maryland Zoo's African elephant program is well known throughout the country. Tour participants will meet with the keepers at the side of the exhibit to see the elephants in the main yard. Keepers will discuss the care and management of the elephants, some of their amazing adaptations and abilities, and their status in the wild. Visitors may be invited to feed and interact with the elephants (as deemed appropriate by keeper staff).
