Come and learn more about why electrification is vitally important. Trains are at capacity and new rolling stock is needed. The Auckland Regional Transport Authority (ARTA) needs a commitment from the Government to electrification now, as it can take up to three years for the trains to be built and delivered. Right now the Board of ARTA is considering ordering more diesel trains to meet capacity demands.
