Featuring some of the biggest names in electronic dance music, the Electric Palms Music Festival comes to the Kakaako Waterfront Park with Steve Aoki, Kill The Noise, Felix Cartal, Ken Loi, Tommy Noble and Hawaii’s own local talent. Tickets are on sale now for the event set for Friday, September 21, 2012 at ticket locations listed below.
Based in Hollywood, DJ and Producer Steve Aoki has come a long way from starting his own record label in 1996 called Dim Mak Records, releasing music by artists including MSTRKRFT, Felix Cartal, Bloc Party, The Kills, and over two hundred more. Recently in January 2012, Aoki released his latest solo album Wonderland featuring artists such as LMFAO, Kid Cudi, Will.I.AM (Zuper Blahq) and Lil Jon.
Kill The Noise is known from nightclubs and popular festivals such as Electric Daisy Carnival, HARD, and Audiotistic. He released his debut in 2010 under his own label Slow Roast Records and recently put out Roots Remixed EP this year, a fresh spin on his past work.
Canadian Felix Cartal released his second album earlier this year under Aoki’s label titled Different Faces with the popular single “Don’t Turn On The Lights”, Ultra Music topliner Polina on vocals, showing how his music has matured since his beginnings in the Vancouver dance clubs. His 2011 hit “The Joker” was the push that got Felix into the American and European festival scene.
Ken Loi is a producer based in San Francisco, currently signed under Tiesto’s Musical Freedom record label. His Play Me EP under Big Beat and successful remixes for Adrian Lux and Gym Class Heroes has definitely proved himself ready to take on the EDM world.
Tommy Noble, the electronic duo from California, smashed the Beatport chats and received many offers to join labels since they released their first tracks last summer. They have shared the stage with big EDM artists like Tiesto, Steve Aoki, Dirtyphonics and continue to catch the attention of more for their sounds.
