In this hands-on workshop, students will have the opportunity to experiment with their own electronics kit, learning concepts including electrical circuits, current, resistance, the difference between series and parallel circuits, conductance and insulation. They will also learn about electrical components, such as batteries, light bulbs, resistors, switches, diodes and integrated circuits. Students will be given a brief presentation on electronic circuitry and will then work in pairs, making electrical circuits, including different sirens and a radio. After initial concepts are covered, students will be able to build and solder their own electric circuit to take home. This course is suitable for Year 5 to 6 Students.
