Are You Ready to Make the Transition From Baby Boomer to Elder Boomer?
Have you and your contemporaries been thinking about your role as an elder and the way we will age together, support one another and help rescue the future?

Everyone is welcome, and people who came to either of the first two meetings are especially encouraged to bring a friend.

What is the purpose of the Elders Guild?

Given the mixed blessing of a long life, we will spend more time as
elders than we have as children, as students or as builders of family
and career. At a time when many of us are pondering what happens
next, the Elders Guild is creating a bold new vision for the second
half of our lives that combines community, activism and deep life-long
learning in one organization. Our goal is for each of us to prepare
for connection, potency and a meaningful role at a stage of life when
we have been conditioned to expect only diminished strength, capacity
and escalating loss.

The Elders Guild Vision and Mission

Our Vision
....is a world in which powerful and conscious elders join together in common purpose to bring healing, joy and connection to our lives, our families, our communities and our world.

Our Mission
....is to create the communities where we re-imagine our old age, look after one another and embody the wisdom that will enable us to help heal the future.

The Elders Guild seeks to unleash the virtually unprecedented resource of a planetary network of conscious and responsible elders by focusing on organizing ourselves in three crucial areas of our individual and collective development: Community, Wisdom, and Championing the Future.

Who should come
Have you and your contemporaries been thinking about your role as an elder and the way we will age together, support one another and help rescue the future? Engage Self-Awareness tools to lead the Aging Process. All ages welcome.

Why
I went to the first meeting in the new Elder Guild series in November and was very impressed with the people and the tools, plus the process. It has a number of parallels to the Senior Cohousing "Study Group" curriculum and Beacon Hill Village model.
