On Monday, March 1st, Fr. Rogelio Martinez‐Ruteaga, OFM, will be the St. Mary Immaculate featured Lenten speaker at 7:00pm in the Church. St. Mary Immaculate is located at 15629 South Rt. 59 in Plainfield. Fr. Rogelio’s topic, delivered in Spanish, will be “El Significato del Desierto” (“The Meaning of the Desert”).
Fr. Rogelio helps at St. Mary Immaculate by saying Masses and offering Reconciliation in both in English and Spanish. He is a Franciscan priest in residence at St. John the Baptist in Joliet while studying for his graduate degree at Lewis University. Born in Aguascalientes, Mexico he has also served in San Antonio as a parish priest. He is known for his infectious smile and his outgoing personality.
