La Nina Productions and The Bay Area Flamenco Partnership present
EL HOMBRE Y EL FLAMENCO
An all-male cast, featuring
dancers JUANAIRE and TIMO N??EZ,
singer F?LIX DE LOLA, guitarist BENJAMIN WOODS
and percussionist RAMI ZIADEH
JUANAIRE was last seen here locally with La Tania in January of 200. Dance critic Paul Parish compares his footwork to "Gene Krupa's famous drum solo in the famous Benny Goodman hit 'Sing Sing Sing'?rhythm heaven, virtuosity to make your jaw drop". He has also performed with the companies of Rafael Cortes, Rebecca Carmona, Ursula Moreno, Antonio Andrade, Fiesta Flamenca and Flamenca Alhama. His teachers were Manolete, Ciro and El G?ito.
TIMO N??EZ is one of the most exciting male Flamenco dancers on the west coast. He came to the attention of California audiences in recent years as a teenage prodigy and has gone on to mature into a highly charismatic bailaor with a passionate sense of flamenco nuance.
