El Grito Festival at Miller Theatre September 15, 2011

On September 15, Miller Outdoor Theatre hosts the beautiful Grito ceremony followed by a rousing performance by one of the premier mariachi ensembles in the world! The festivities start at 8 p.m.; the show is presented in partnership with the Consulate General of Mexico in Houston. Grammy-nominated Sol de Mexico travels the world as Ambassadors of mariachi music, celebrating their rich cultural heritage and spreading their Passion of Mariachi to audiences across the globe.

This is a ticketed event for the covered seating area. Free tickets are available (4 per person over age 16 while they last) at the Miller Outdoor Theatre box office the day of the performance between the hours of 10:30am-1pm.
