A wildly absurd opera for actors combining music, movement and theater, El Gallo portrays the challenges a composer and a group of singers face when trying to mount a performance in just 2 weeks. The result of a collaboration between director Claudio Valdes Kuri and British composer Paul Barker, El Gallo features a multinational cast of 6 performers from Japan, Iran, France and Mexico alongside a live string octet.
