Among the top echelon of urban jazz groups in the Cambridge, Massachusetts music scene, the Either/Orchestra is a ten-piece jazz ensemble - two trumpets, trombone, three saxophones, piano, acoustic bass, drums and congas - producing fiercely original and international music. Founded in 1985 by saxophonist and composer Russ Gershon, the E/O combines the agility and freedom of a jazz combo, the raw power and subtle coloring of a jazz orchestra and the deep grooves of afro-latin music.
