The 2009 Eisteddfod is a fun-filled weekend of traditional folk/roots music October 16-18 at the Friar Tuck Inn in Catskill, New York. Enjoy 38 outstanding performers in 40 workshops and three concerts, plus a n open mike, late night singing, a contra dance, and all the informal socializing, music making, and outdoor walks plus convenient hotel rooms, good food, an indoor pool, ping-pong, game room, and more. A wide variety Traditional Performers are featured including Eric Weissberg, Bill and Livia Vanaver, Happy Traum, Claire Boucher, Olga Zaric, Paul Geremia, and 30 others
The festival begins with a concert Friday night at 8pm. It continues Saturday with 22 workshops of singing, dancing, and jamming during the day and 3-hour concert Saturday evening followed by a Contra Dance. Sunday morning has 16 more workshops and the program ends with another concert Sunday afternoon finishing at 5.
