She was born to Irish immigrants in the Bronx, and today Eileen Ivers travels the world playing her Irish fiddle. Inspired by that diverse neighborhood, Eileen Ivers and Immigrant Soul mixes Irish instrumentalists with African and Latin percussion and American soul vocals.
