Online channels are muscling in. Nearly 90% of European online users consider the Net as their primary source of information about financial services. In countries like Sweden and the UK, already 20% of all financial products are sold online. At varying speed due to differences in pace of technology adoption, Internet has become a full-fledged distribution channel for European financial service. This trend is clearly revealed in the 2007 edition of Efma’s study of online customer behaviour in retail finance conducted with Novamétrie, Capgemini, Microsoft and Crédit Agricole.
