Workshop Overview:
In recent years, there have been significant advances in coiled tubing materials and manufacturing. Speed and economy have emerged as key advantages for the application of coiled tubing (CT). The relatively small footprint and short rig-up time make CT operation even more attractive for drilling and completion application.
This 3 day highly interactive and practical course presents CT as an effective tool in a wide range of field applications including milling and drilling, HPHT, fishing etc. It also focuses on well control practices for coiled tubing operations. The course is structured to provide practical skills for coiled tubing operations performed in both onshore and offshore environments.
It follows best practice for Coiled Tubing Operations on Oil and Gas Wells and begins with a thorough elaboration on most practical aspects of CT operation including downhole equipments, surface devices and completion design. It also covers CT properties, common problems, and applications. In addition, coiled tubing well control and intervention systems are covered with a special focus on operational risk management.
