The Eels are one of music's most acclaimed and idiosyncratic enterprises, accomplishing what The New Yorker calls "that rarest thing in contemporary pop: a unique sound." This tour marks the release of their first 'Best Of' compilation album, 'Meet the Eels: Essential Eels Vol. 1: 1996-2006' featuring their best-known songs such as 'Novocaine For The Soul' and 'I Need Some Sleep' (featured on the Shrek 2 soundtrack) along with previously unreleased gems and B-sides like their remix of Jon Brion's 'Climbing to the Moon'
