Edmonds Community College Commencement Ceremony June 19, 2009

Edmonds Community College will hold its 42nd annual commencement ceremony 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 19 at Edmonds Stadium, 7600 212 St. SW, Edmonds. In 2008-09, students at the college earned 1,819 degrees and certificates. The graduates range in age from 66 to 14. The student commencement speakers are Dulcie Chase of Lynnwood and Paul Morrison of Edmonds. Each graduate receives six tickets for family and friends. Tickets required.

2008-09 Graduating Class — By the Numbers
• 1,819 degrees and certificates
• 33 percent earned college transfer degrees (605 degrees)
• 27 percent earned career degrees or certificates (490 degrees and certificates)
• 40 percent completed GED or high school diplomas (535 GEDs, plus 189 diplomas for a total of 724)
• 29, average age of graduates
• 57 percent female
• 43 percent male
• 16 percent international students
• 66 – age of oldest graduate, Associate of Arts degree
• 14 – age of youngest graduate, Associate of Arts degree
