PMI Pune chapter is organizing a panel discussion on "Economic situation – myths and facts". Considering the current economic situation and various news spread all across, we sincerely feel presenting correct information and right perspective for all the industry leaders, project managers is very important and hence we would appreciate your participation.

The event is planned on Saturday, December 20th 2008 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m at Patrakar Bhavan. The objective of this panel discussion is to provide an overview of the causes of current economic situation, current and projected impact and how can project managers / industry leaders take proactive measures for the upcoming scenario. Basic objective will also be to provide sound understanding of the situation and inputs about how industry leaders can handle the current situation of economic uncertainty. Major focus is to get some inputs about the solution while understanding the problem. Senior industry experts participating in this discussion would be providing inputs and their assessment of the situation, predictions for future and recommendations for possible plan of action. Inputs on human aspects during difficult times (like constraints on travel or extra benefits, fear of job loss, pressure on salary reduction (flex components) etc.) and how managers can handle their teams in this difficult time would also be discussed. Attendees and interact with the panel member to gain more understanding and get inputs about their queries.
