The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Houston presents the Houston premiere of the internationally acclaimed film ”EcoArk” Monday, November 7 at 6 p.m. at the Arboretum. EcoArk is a film about a "first of its kind" mobile structure of the same name, designed to get people around the world to think outside the box. The building was constructed using 1.5 million recycled bottles. The revolutionary building material is only part of the story of what is happening in Taiwan.
Taiwan has long been a world leader in design, electronics, photovoltaics, wind, LEDs and other key ingredients to making the 21st Century cleaner and greener than the last. A new paradigm of turning trash into treasure and seeing every problem as pregnant with solutions is what this informative film best exhibits. Come and be educated about what is happening globally and educate others. There will be special guests sharing their experiences at the screening. Wonderful Taiwanese and Western style food and drink will be provided courtesy of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Houston.
