Eco-Friendly Fun: A Family Workshop April 24, 2010

NCMA presents a day of active nature exploration for families to enjoy together. A museum educator guides participants through a tour of NCMA’s nature trails, finding ideas, materials and inspiration along the way. Following the nature trek, community art specialist Iandry Randriamandroso leads a hands-on workshop of eco-friendly art making that will include a variety of materials and techniques, among them collage, rubbings and printmaking using natural, found and recycled materials.
Iandry Randriamandroso, who frequently leads groups in community art projects, returns to NCMA following his very successful Family Mural Workshop in February. The April 24 workshop, to be held rain or shine, takes place out of doors and at NCMA’s Art School.
Eco-Friendly Fun: A Family Workshop is recommended for children ages 6 and above. Admission is $35 for one adult and one child (members, $25), each additional child is $10; fee includes materials but not museum admission. Advance registration is required; register online at nassaumuseum.org/events.
