Web Development SIG "PHP Panorma"

Our speaker, Jack Herrington, author of three books: Code Generation in Action, Podcasting Hacks and most recently PHP Hacks and monthly contributor on PHP for IBM's Developerworks, will demonstrate building a set of two or three (depending on time) PHP sample applications.

These demos will include:

-a photo browsing page backed up by a database
the use of PHP custom functions to simplify building large sets of pages
-the use of the SMARTY page template engine
-and the use of Dynamic HTML to build simple but effective page effects

Each demonstration will be hands on and questions are welcome during the session. This won't be a slideware fest, you will learn some good stuff that you can use for yourself and your job.
