East Village History & Dessert Tour July 10, 2010

This is a tour emphasizing the history of the Village - from wealthy Victorian neighborhood to 20th century bohemian center - and its personalities, from Washington to Bob Dylan. Stops include Cooper Union, the site of the Astor Place riots, Colonnade Row, Grace Church, the Washington Square Arch, Minetta Lane, Patchin Place, the Jefferson Courthouse Library and Grove Court. Along the way, enjoy a sampling of desserts, from Lilac chocolate to Italian saviodi. Come prepared with an appetite for history and things sweet.
