Miller Outdoor Theatre, where performances are always free, and Dance of Asian America present a choreographic journey uniting new and award-winning authentic Chinese classical and folk dances from renowned Chinese choreographers with the newest modern jazz and hip hop works by Houston choreographers. The evening's performances range from classical to cutting-edge contemporary. Many of the dances are inspired by nature, portraying a painted sky, willows in the wind and blossoms in the rain. The presentation of Eastern dances will also include top dancers from Chinatown's Mitsi Dancing School in new choreography from the heart of China.
Approximately 1,700 new seats have just been installed under the canopy. All performances at Miller Outdoor Theatre are FREE of CHARGE; however, tickets for assigned seating under the canopy are available at the Miller Theatre Box Office on a first-come first-serve basis between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on the day of the performance. Please, only four tickets per person. Remaining tickets are given out one hour before the performance starts.
