Ishtar opens for Molly in the Crowd at the DownUnder Coffeehouse!
Come out and hear Ishtar play bellydance classics. Ishtar plays folk songs from all over the Middle East and Mediterranean; songs that were popular in the bellydancing club scene during the mid-20th century. As an added bonus, members of Molly in the Crowd will join in on some of Ishtars tunes, creating a fusion of two musical cultures!
Molly in the Crowd performs Scottish, Irish, and English traditional music on traditional and some VERY non-traditional instruments, including the tuba and Turkish cumbus. Molly in the Crowd has performed on the Saturday Light Brigade radio show, at the Bloomfield Bridge Tavern (through Calliope), for the Guthrie Arts Guild in Grove City (in connection with the Pennsylvania
Council for the Arts), and at Murphys Tap Room in Regent Square.
Show starts at 7:30. Suggested donation is $5.
