Dana Shultz (www.danashultz.com) is a business-savvy lawyer who works with small and mid-size technology companies. Typical matters include entity selection and formation, contract drafting and negotiation, financing transactions, IP counseling, and whatever else is required to help clients build successful businesses while keeping them out of trouble. Before starting his own law practice, Dana provided in-house legal services at companies ranging in size from pre-IPO to multinational. His positions included Vice President and Legal Counsel at Visa International, General Counsel at Baron Data Systems, and Senior Staff Attorney at Lexis-Nexis. Dana received an undergraduate degree in Communication Science from the University of Michigan and a law degree from Boalt Hall (University of California at Berkeley). He is a member of the State Bar of California, the International Technology Law Association, and the Licensing Executives Society, and he publishes the High-touch Legal Services Blog (danashultz.com/blog).
