All of the ninety ceramic sculptures on display were made before the Europeans entered the new world and represent fourteen cultures from the area now known as Central Mexico and date from 500 to 2500 years in age. The collection's strength is evident in the outstanding examples representing the Tlatilco, Chupicuaro, Nayarit, Chinesca, Jalisco, Colima, Teotihuacan, Veracruz and Oaxaca cultures.
