Earth Day Worm Composting Demonstration April 22, 2011

What's one of the things that worms do best? Poop! And worm poop is one of the best things for garden soil. Clever gardeners have been using worm composting systems to turn piles of kitchen scraps and leaves into beautiful, healthy compost for their gardens. Come meet a worm composter (called a vermicomposter) and hundreds of her favorite wriggling composting critters, called red wigglers! Who knows, worm composting may be for you (though make sure to ask your parents first...).
