April marks the month of Earth Day celebrations - people everywhere doing what they can to use less energy (or no energy at all for sixty minutes if they choose to partake in the Earth Hour). Since all the snow is finally gone, more and more bikes are coming out of hiding. You get the idea.
Triggered Response is also doing what we can to help Mother Nature in our own way. We've organized a fundraiser at Crobar THIS SATURDAY, APRIL 17th (in honour of Earth Day) and have decided to make it an unplugged show. We like having themes to all our fundraisers - if any of you attended our Women of Rock in March, you've surely noticed that all the bands on the bill that night had a female musician. Well, Saturday will be no different. We have four acts, normally hard rock, who have all agreed to join the bill and play acoustically - it may be out of the ordinary for all of us, but it will be sure to be an AWESOME night.
Joining Triggered Response at Crobar are:
Kris Brethour (From Toronto)
Makeshift Radio
Fable
Doors open at 9p.m. Door charge is $5 - all profits are going to Equiterre (a Montreal-based non-profit organization for sustainable living). Check 'em out at www.equiterre.org.
See you Saturday!!!
