Sea Life Park Education Department and Sustainable Coastlines Hawai’i present an Earth Day Celebration in the Makapu’u Meadows at Sea Life Park on Saturday, April 20 from 12:00 noon to 4:30 p.m. Live music sets the stage for an afternoon of family fun and education, featuring a variety of nonprofit booths, educational displays, and several guest speakers. Activities include games, art, and face painting for keiki and raffle prizes.
Entertainment is provided by talented local performers, including Summer, The Urchinz, HI Remedy, and Shawn Kaua’awa-Mokuahi Garnett.
Working in tandem with Sea Life Park on that day will be Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii
and the public on the biggest beach cleanup event ever on O‘ahu to rid the coastal areas of East O‘ahu from Sandy Beach to Kaneohe MCBH. Volunteers will be able to enter Sea Life Park that day for only $5. .
For those unable to help with the beach clean-up, residents and visitors can get 50% off regular admission with a movie stub from Victoria Ward Consolidated Theatres or bring an empty Coca-Cola product to the ticket booth to be recycled. With this discount admission is $15 for adults and $12 for children 3 to 11 years.
