Earth Day Beach Cleanup April 21, 2013

Earth Day is a great reminder to show some love for mother earth. Since 70% of the earth is covered by water, we thought we’d show the oceans some love too. On Sunday, April 21, Aquarium of the Bay will be hosting a beach clean-up at Aquatic Park. Join us as we scour the beach and surrounding areas, picking up everything from discarded bottles to cigarette butts and more. While we’re focusing on keeping trash out of the Bay, divers from Aquarium of the Bay will be going under water to see what kind of trash they can find. Some supplies will be provided, but volunteers are encouraged to bring buckets and gloves.
