The City of Gainesville will be hosting Earth Academy spring break day camp beginning Monday, March 28th and running through Friday, April 1st at Morningside Nature Center. Children grades 1-6 a chance to explore the magic of nature and learn the science behind it. Low teacher-to-camper ratio fosters children's natural curiosity and encourages an environmental ethic and appreciation of nature. The campers love the games, crafts and hands-on activities! Children must be in or entering first through sixth grades to enroll in Earth Academy. Nature Operations staff recognize that developing good character is an important part of preparing young people to be good stewards of the earth's resources now and in the future. In addition to a variety of projects, campers will have fun with character development activities demonstrating trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship. Camp is offered Monday through Friday from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm. Early drop off (beginning at 7:30 am) and late pick up (ending at 5:30 pm) services are available.
