ears&eyes Festival December 10, 2006

Hello music, art, film lovers. It's finally here: your chance to get in on the first annual "ears&eyes Festival", curated by two Hurricane Katrina cataclysminites (thanks Doug)/musicians/composers, Matthew Golombisky and Quin Kirchner.

Each attendee will be flooded with some of Chicago's greatest music and visual artists, including painters, filmmakers, and live projectionists. In addition, this festival acts as a launch party for the recording "label", ears&eyes; the main focus relying on a collective effort between both audio and visual artistry. Groups for immediate collaboration are the local, 20 piece, chamber-modern jazz ensemble, Tomorrow Music Orchestra; Golombisky and Kirchner's collective drums and bass duo, GKduo; New Orleans alt-jazz-freak-out quartet, QMRplus; and video/graphic producer Gus Gavino of artist/film collective, Middle Mind Project.
