Early Music Now: A Concert of Music from India July 17, 2010

A Concert of Music from India features Pandit Nagaraja Rao Havaldar, a Hindustani classical vocalist from Bangalore, India. he received his doctorate (a "Sangeetha Ratna") from Karnataka University, and has studied with Pandit Madhava Gudi, who is a direct disciple of the legendary Kirana scion Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, and has also studied with Pandit Mallikarjun Mansur. Dr. Havaldar has performed throughout India and toured extensively in the US and UK. This is his second performance for Early Music Now.

The presentation includes a Pre-Concert Lecture at 6:30, performance beginning at 7:00 and a reception at the performance's conclusion.
