E.O. An Historical Farce of
Truly Elizabethian Proportions
WORLD PREMIERE COMEDY
April 10th – May 29th, 2010
Friday & Saturday 8:00PM
Award-winning Cast & Crew
Edward de Vere (the 17th Earl of Oxford), the true author of Shakespeare’s works, must use first-rate con man (and third-rate actor) Will Shaksper as a front. “ ’Tis is a dog-eat-dog world, and yet every dog must have his day, Edward.” The forest is teeming with circumstance and scheming, replete with money-hungry opportunists of every type! Queen Elizabeth commands a performance of de Vere’s latest play Hamlet for the upcoming Spring Masque. The rub: she insists – no, decrees – it must be funny. To please his Queen, de Vere hastily twists tragedy into comedy – and farce!
