Dwight Merkel Grand Opening & Celebration August 7, 2010

The Spokane Park Board, Parks Bond Citizen Advisory Committee and staff of the Spokane Parks and Recreation Department cordially invite you to attend a day of activities at the new Dwight Merkel Sports Complex including a special ribbon-cutting ceremony and tours of the site.

Activities Include:

8 am – dusk - Explore the trails by foot (all day self-guiding tour)

10 am - Dedication ceremony and ribbon-cutting ceremony

10:30 am - First pitch, soccer kick, skateboard drop, BMX start

4 pm - Pistole Skate Competition

All Day - Ongoing activities for all ages, including:
· Soccer, Flag Football, Softball, Ultimate Frisbee and Volleyball
· BMX Race and Run
· Skate Classes and Demonstrations
· Free Samples
· Live Music from Rock 94.5
