Duquesne University Tamburitzans April 25, 2009

On Saturday, April 25, 2009, America’s premier folk music and dance ensemble, the Duquesne University Tamburitzans will bring their special brand of entertainment to the Saucon Valley High School, 2100 Polk Valley Rd. Hellertown, PA.
The Tamburitzans show is quality family fare, geared to general audiences, and suitable for all ages. Showcasing the dances, songs, and music of Eastern Europe and neighboring cultures for over 72 years, this group of thirty-two dedicated young artists from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania performs dazzling dances, intriguing instrumentals and sentimental songs in hundreds of colorful native costumes representative of the many folk traditions on which the ensemble’s fast-paced show is based: Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Transylvania, Ukraine and more.
