All DSLR cameras now take stills and video - it's the industry buzz but few people actually use the DSLR to shoot video because it's thought to be too hard and the editing too complex. Though producing a good video is a complex process, it is quite easy to make impressive short videos from your trip, family outings or get-togethers using simple shooting and editing techniques using inexpensive but very creative software applications.
