Every Sunday from 1-3 PM, families can experience a new adventure in art making free with admission to the Contemporary Jewish Museum. As always, the hands-on fun inspires children to learn more about the exhibits on display in the galleries.
April 4, 2010: Passover Freedom Poems
Passover symbolizes freedom, so to celebrate you’ll design a concrete poem (in which the visual layout creates a major part of the poem's meaning) about what freedom means to you, using different colors, shapes, and patterns.
April 11, 2010: Words to Remember…
In honor of Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, create tissue-paper collages inspired by actual poems written by children living at Terezin, a concentration camp, during the war. Please note: Admission to the Museum is free all day in observance of Yom HaShoah.
