Charlotte,NC (March 17th,2010)-- The Dog Bar and Great Dane Friends of Ruff Love will be having a St Patricks Day celebration to help raise money for Driving for Danes. The event starts at 6pm and goes until the dogs can’t stand anymore!!! This is a cause that Lauren O’Connor has a very personal stake in. Some might say that Lauren rescued Harley, but if you ask her, she’ll tell you it’s the other way around. After years of experience in Public Relations and Marketing, Lauren decided to resign her position and combine her passion for animals and adventure to hit the road and raise awareness and money for animal shelters and rescues. She and Harley will be visiting over 56 major cities in their SUV organizing events, meet-ups and benefit concerts. Yes, mostly sleeping in the car with a resized futon mattress. Proceeds will be donated to rescues and shelters around the country.

Mission- To raise $100,000 for Great Dane and animal rescues

Where- Begin in NJ, zig zagging across the country with the trip ending in California.

When- March 1st

How- The kindness of family, friends, sponsors and strangers

Who- Harley. Blue Merle Great Dane. Roadie of amazingness. Age 6.

Why- To raise awareness for the special needs and life changing experiences of sharing the love of Great Danes.

March 17th she will be at the Dog Bar,3307 N Davison St, Charlotte NC along with Great Dane Friends of Ruff Love doing a St Pat’s Day fundraiser. A $5 donation gets you in and your first drink is on the house. There will be raffles and lots and lots of Danes to meet. Please come out and join us and help her reach her goal of $100,000 in 100 days!!!!!!
