Three and a half years ago, the President of the United States watched with indifference as the City of New Orleans drowned.
On Tuesday, we'll mark the beginning of Mardi Gras in New Orleans and see a new, competent and engaged President make his first address to a joint session of Congress. If you're one of those people who have been on the email list for some time but have not yet managed to make it out for the event, Drinking Liberally Center City this week will be the perfect time to connect with your fellow progressives as we celebrate both of these milestones.
